Expat terms?
I am a Brit considering a job offer in the offshore banking in Barbados.
What is considered the norm for senior managers - company car? full house rental costs? Cost of utilities (presumably electricity is expensive with air conditioning)?
Average cost of key essentials such as groceries per week?
Any other standard benefits such as health insurance?
Can anyone give any indication of budget for the above or tell me a useful website of agency that can advise on these things as it is very difficult looking in.
I see tax is very high at 40%. Can firms get away with paying a portion of salary outside of barbados like non - domiciles in UK to avoid tax deductions?
Thanks

Re: Expat terms?
if you're being employed as an expat are you not getting tax free salary??
dh is on a tax free salary (dont want to say what)), get a house - all utilities paid, company car, company medical for family, relocation costs for family, annual flight allowance for family.
He's executive senior management level and you should be looking at close if not over six fugures nett in USD per year I would think.
