Hello Everyone.
Looking for a bit advice please! im looking to bring my fashion line over to barbados, I specialise in high end silk kaftans. Are there any independant boutiques or hotels, I should contact before I arrive? What area is best for shopping? Thanks so much for your help.

Hi Boho - Maybe you need to consider who you would be selling to for us to be able to advise you - ie is it local or visitors, selling to the cruise ship visitors would be a different target audience than local bajans - south coast vs west coast is a consideration here with in my opinon the west coast being a preferable business location for luxury clothing. Obviously i am giving this advice presuming you have all the necessary requirements for operating a retail business out of Barbados in hand.

Thanks so much for the reply. At the moment I show high end boutiques my range and then they either buy them off me at cost and add there own price or I leave some stock and do sale or return. They then keep 50% of the profit. Obviously Im trying to do a bit of research to see if that is how it will be in Barbados. The season has finnished here in Ibiza, so I need to get somewhere hot ASAP Any advice is most appreciated.

Barbados is not the easiest place to start your own business, especially if you dont know the right people from before. If you never been there before, advise first of all go and try to get some contacts. But dont expect it to happen in a hurry.
