Hi there, newbie here.

I've recently bought a house in Barbados ( St Philip ... near Six Roads ). The house is currently being built and should be ready early next year

I've been looking into furnishings, and so far have a reasonable handle on what's what etc.

My problem is ... where to buy electical appliances ? I could buy in the UK and ship over, but a lot of appliances are not dual voltage. I could buy in Miami, but the shipping co's dont seem to bother to reply to emails for quotes

Or I could buy in BB. I've looked in Courts etc and there's not a lot of choice, and see expensive compared with the UK, let alone the US ...

Any thoughts on shipping / storage / appliances would be great !
