Hi there, I am a 34 yr old single British female currently living and working in Bermuda as a Legal Executive and am coming over next week to sign my new contract to work for a firm in Bridgetown. Until very recently, I did have a Bajan boyfriend of 5 years and have been tootling back and forward between firstly the UK and Barbados, and then Bermuda and Barbados.

If there are any single expat females working and living in Barbados, that would like to meet up, have a drink, some food, some laughs, exchange living abroad stories and advice, please get in touch - I would love to hear from you and would like to start my own network of friends for when I move over around July. I am staying in Worthing CH CH. Like going out, clubbing, the Gap etc.

Ohh, Im moving over in July too, so that will make 2 new people looking for friends. I will be in St Peter, but would love to meet up (I could get a bus to the south coast). Im 24 and am concerned that a lot of ex pats live on the south coast and so I think I will struggle to make friends in 'my neck of the woods'.

You can easily get a bus or ZR down the coast, though. You're right - a lot of us do live down south but there are many expats in other areas too, so you never know.

I am very exciting. I like Holetown, but dont really know the south coast - have only been there on Thurs nights for the Ship Inn, and so am going to make sure I visit there on a regular basis during the daytime.

Im Worthing sides too - am still stuck in the UK at mo with health issues (whilst i pay all my rent and bills still in Bim sigh!!) I am hoping to be back a couple of days after you leave and also will be prob back in UK for contracts in July but will deffo be there early July as is my Birthday - maybe we should have a net meet on the beach (sandy bay is very civilised and sedate water)!!!!

Zanne only prob you might find is that its in an english expats type bar owned by english so the questions are mostly english however all films movies and sports questions are international. There are i think 6 rounds and 2 are general knowledge 1 is called dingbats where yu have to look at the words and give a phrase 2 tend to be specialist subjects anything from James Bond to Car Badges and last round is a name that tune type round

U represent in teams of 6 so if you are up to it when im back shout me and just come with our team for the night and you can take it from there its in a bar in the gap and starts at 8pm

My team boasts a physics teacher, a university professor, a dj and me(an expert on totally off the wall questions that no one else has a clue on ie whats main ingredient in mousakka and what car has a horse as its emblem) as our core oh and a woman who knows a lot about tennis lol sometimes we come 2nd sometimes we come 10th - its free and there is a money prize for winners

You might be right - it sounds that way! And I've been known to attend quiz, too.

Alex Trebek is Canadian! Yay for us! Zanne, you'd like quiz, though what Dipidy says is true: a lot of the questions are easier to answer if you're British, but it's still fun.

Well all, it sounds like there are more than a few of us who are interested in hooking up (platonically). Whenever you're all here (sounds like July?) let's make a coffee/drink date or something of the sort as a meet and greet. Maybe make it a regular drop-in style thing?
