Hi everyone, my husband and I are planning to move to Barbados from the UK by the end of the year with our 18 months old son.

I would love to chat with any parents that have done this and hopefully make a friend or two to share a bottle of rum with.lol!

We moved to Grenada a couple of years ago and just as we had got settled with a job and put a deposit on a piece of land Ivan hit and literally trashed our plans. We stayed in Barbados while we got affairs in order and realised that this was the place we wanted to live our days out. We returned to the UK for a few reasons but have thought long and hard about returning to Barbados to live.

We're also looking at moving to Barbados next year. Our kids are 2 and 5 so a bit older. I'm also keen to hear more from families who have already made the move.

Would be interested in talking to you more, particularly as you already have experience of living in Grenada. Would it be best to pm?

Good to hear from you - We're planning to get there for mid November so are in the midst of getting things sorted. When are you thinking of going?
