Barbados; temporary work relocation
 

Hi everyone!
Have been looking at the forum and got lots of good information already but still need help with one or two things.
Husband has offer of 12 - 18th month relocation to Barbados with his company. I am a practising midwife in the UK and keen to experience supporting and delivering women in a different culture/enviroment. What would the possibility of working, either employed or independantly, on the island? Any suggestions for contacts would be gratefully received. I sort of understand the issue around work permits.
Also, if we have my husbands salary paid into the UK and continue to pay UK Income Tax etc will there be a requirement for him to also pay Bajan income tax etc? Have looked at the link posted to the Bajan tax authorities but didn't find an answer there.

hi,

im wondering if you had any lick with your question as i am in a simialr sitiation. Practising Midwife in UK moving to barbados, would love to continue my work but am not RN trained.
