Baby Hamsters

Anyone looking for a cute pet for their kids? My son's male hamster turned out to be a girl - which we discovered when she gave birth to 8 baby hamsters one morning!!

They are now 3 1/2 weeks old and gorgeous - as they have been hand reared they are very friendly and already allow us to stroke them. I really want to find homes for them with families who will take good care of them - they are very social and love their cage being near people. Once you've bought a cage, the bedding & food is quite cheap as it lasts a while and you can supplement it with lettuce, carrots, apple, even coconut or raisons.

If anyone is interested, please PM me and we can chat more,

Bajanla

Better get them shifted quick, Bajanla, or they'll start eating each other.... Don't worry the toilet will always be happy to flush a few hamsters away..... lol ..... (hope that doesn't offend u too much.... just yanking ur chain)

Oooh, you're wicked!

I'm not worried about them eating eating each other...its the incestuous nature of hamsters that concerns me, they'll all be at it if I don't separate them and I'll end up with pregnant hamsters all over the place..

Help please!

That is funny.. you could start a Hamster reselling business. My neice did this when she was about 14. she got to and they multiplied.. then she sold the babys back to the pet shop.. kept her in bedding and food for the hampsters.

I really wish I could help you! I would love to take one (or two) but the mean old hubby gave me a resounding "NO" when I asked him. *sigh*

Not sure where you're located, but the pet store in Worthing (kind of behind the Trimark & the tire place at the corner of the coast road and rendezvous) might take them. They sell hamsters, and the guy there is really nice (he sold me all my fish).

Good luck!
