Aussie needing help to get a social life!
 

Hi Guys
Sorry to crash your site, but we know we'll find some great potential friends and advice here.
We're Aussies, moving to Barbados for permanent work in less than two weeks.
Having lived and worked overseas before, the most important thing to us is meeting amazing people, expats especially, and having a great network of friends. You don't find that sitting at home, hence the contact. Some of our best times have been with British expats, both here in Oz and abroad, and the British Embassy throws the best "away from home" parties. :D:D
Hope you can help us meet people, including any Aussies that are living in Barbados.
We are hashers, in our 50's, but still think we're 18.:eek:
We'd be grateful for suggestions and information of things to bring, where to live, places to go to meet people, social functions and groups (like the hash, dancing groups, card groups etc etc) and how things "tick". Horse riding and country activities advice also appreciated.
Look forward to hearing any suggestions and advice. Hope to catch up with some of you soon.

We have a thriving hash here.. runs every Saturday afternoons, public holiday mornings and on Full Moons.. often get around 80 people at a hash.. off all ages and abilities.. both Bajans and expats.. you can find out where the runs are from our website:

Some of us from the Hash also go to a regular pub quiz at Barbados Cruising Club on a Weds evening..

As always the Hash is a great place to meet some others and they can lead you into all sorts of other things..
