Default An Afternoon Tea with George

for those on island or will be.

Sunday afternoon, 26th February 2017, The American Women's Club of Barbados will be hosting a charity event, as well as commemoration of the 265th Anniversary of the visit to Barbados by George Washington and his brother Laurence.

George Washington House
The Garrison Historic Area (south coast)
2pm - 6pm (tours start at 2pm/tea starts at 3pm)
Donation - BBD$85
Tours of the George Washington House, The tunnels that run under the house and grounds, afternoon tea, and the theatre will be open for viewing of the movie provided by George Washington House.

Fine Craft Vendors will have beautiful works on display for viewing and sale. Noted local authors will have books on sale and to sign. The Barbados String Quartet will be joining us for an interlude of music along with our guest singer who will be providing songs of the period. Period costumes will be warn by some members of the American Women's Club of Barbados and guests.

And most importantly, George Washington will be joining us for the afternoon.

Tickets can be purchased at Barbadiana, Sky Mall and Lewis Drug Mart, Rockley Christ Church or contact me and I'll put you in touch with a club member to purchase tickets. Limited tickets available at the door, so please get yours before hand.

All proceeds from this event will go to the local charities supported by the American Women's Club of Barbados, a service/charity organization on the island for over 60 years. [/FONT][/FONT][/FONT]
