I made it
 
After nearly 20 years, we arrived at the end of June. As soon as I got in the taxi, relief flooded over me. It was good to be back home. England is still the same, though it has changed in some ways. Thanks to many on here for the encouragement and sharing your experiences in the past.

Congratulations! Are you getting this cold, rainy weather just now? ( I'm in Norfolk.) Still, it's easier to deal with than the heat and humidity in New York State!

Good for you. Funny how you said immediately you felt at home. When I first came to live in UK in 1998 I felt as if my soul had come home. Now I look forward to returning too. Give us update when settled.
