When I came to Bute 10 years ago, I had no contacts on the island at all. I worked at it and now have quite a network of friends and acquaintances. Got involved in the community, Literary Club, Housing Association, Church and now the Community Council. Busier now that when I was working !
I appreciate that island life is a bit different from Dumfries and Galloway.
