15 month update and life ROCKS

What a wonderful year and a quarter it's been. Not constant perfection, but overall just brilliant. Two house moves (got it absolutely right second time, we won't talk about the first ), a new family member (miaow!), fun job (bloody hard work!) and most of all loving the little details I never appreciated before like:

Footpaths - this is huge.
Old stone villages
Birdsong
Us all saying "sorry" to each other all the time
SENSE OF HUMOUR - oh yes!
The foooooood, the cheese, oh the cheese
Driving the twisties, motorbikes everywhere, so tempted
Going to town and just happening to pass a working steam engine tootling along
Churches and churchyards
Proper pubs
Animal lovers
...and heaps more

So happy to be here

Same for me/us really, we still marvel at things even though we have been home for over 4 years now.

HappyGlow,

What a wonderful update, I really love hearing how things are going for those who have already made the move, thank you.

Do you mind me asking which County you have settled in and is it where you lived before or have you gone to a completely new area?

So glad to hear that things are going well for you! Only downside as far as I can see is that because things are great the time goes so much quicker LOL

Nothing beats "belonging" in my book!

Derbyshire, and yes I lived there before for a few years. Chosen for proximity to rellies rather than on its own merits, but I'm surprised at how much more I appreciate it now than I ever did then.

You're bang on about time going quicker - it's ridiculous!
