CE hotels & golf courses
I understand that the sale of the 2 Golf Courses, Club House & Hotel have now been confirmed, along with a Boutique Hotel & Casino. The hotel by the club house will have 260 bedrooms & the Boutique hotel around 100 bedrooms. It will be up to 2 years for the 2nd course to become operational. Regards Mike.

Club, courses and hotels
The two courses, the clubhouse and the hotel sale are now confirmed. The boutique hotel and casino also confirmed. The second course will not be operational for up to two years.
The hotel next to the club will be a 260 bedroom facility, with the boutique hotel c100 bedrooms.
No doubt both will expect golf concessions, but we have no information on this. I would suggest for the immediate future we just get on as is.

I do do so hope this true it is so long now since we have seen golfers come down the eighth on the east course. I asked a few questions but no time for replies yet.
Who has made the purchase? Are they well funded? Do they already operate golf resorts elsewhere? Are the hotel and the boutique hotel on the same site or is the boutique hotel on H1 at the top of Esuri?
Hope springs eternal let’s hope so.

No doubt the Mayor will make an announcement ahead of the upcoming election and claim the glory for his election campaign. In reality nothing to do with him all down to the liquidator. Shades of spending our money (€4+ million) on the roads and verges all down to him, except that it was a bank guareentee placed by Fadesa against failure to complete to adoptable standards. Mysteriously another €1+ million has disappeared in the long intervening years.

No doubt the EUC BOARD will also try to claim some involvement but have they secured the outstanding EUC subscriptions without giving a discount?

Dare I hope that my plot, with views over a lake to a green will be restored one day (it’s been so long that I’ve forgotten which number hole, possibly 7th). If this is all true it’s great news for Esuri so I’ll look forward to someone posting that building has re-commenced.

No press statement, no annoucent from the Ayuntamiento, no press statement. However the golf courses and the clubhouse together with the derelict hotel are now owned by the original bidder Hidrocarbon Malaga who are part of a much larger group and very well funded and have a very smart golf course, Guadalmina in Malaga Province.
