The following has been posted on the Golf Club Facebook site today:
We are very pleased to announce that the new proprietors of Costa Esuri is Isla Canela. The deal was very much in the balance until Javier of H2O got the two sides together and managed to get them to agree. Isla Canela will open the course as soon as practicable. Once again, many thanks to Javier and we look forward to the re-opening!

It's with deep regret that the information regarding the sale of the Golf Club to Isla Canela is incorrect.

This information that the sale had gone through did not come from me. I was told by the Golf Director of Isla Canela G. C. Mr Kosthka Hornos last week that I would be one of the first people to know if or when the sale had gone thru. Kosthka phoned me approx 5pm today and I had a 20 min conversation with him. He told me the ink was nearly on the paper, but the owner of Costa Esuri Golf club pulled out at the last minute, again.

I know it is very sad and frustrating but we have to keep our chins up and we will come through this, of that I am confident. Hope to see you all on the golf course soon.

We shall carry on with our alternative golf arrangements at other clubs until further notice and details will appear on MasterScoreboard and by further emails.

May I remind you to take your C/Esuri membership cards when you play at the clubs with which we have the deals.

Can I ask all of those of you who have passed on the mis-information about the re-opening to please correct the error on the same social medium. Otherwise it will continue to be spread further and further afield causing more confusion.

It is very complicated. Hydracarburos Santa Ana. Appear to have purchased a company called Branda Azul from the liquidator in 2017 This was a company Fadesa used to own all their Costa ESURI land (we bought our plot from them in 2005).

They seem to be breaking this up having sold off plot H1 for a Boutique Hotel with Casino. Isla Canela Golf (Pryconsa) are 98% certain to have bought the west course however beyond that it is all speculation.it is reported they have not bought the clubhouse or the hotel or the east course. The commercial center was not part of either sale

H1 is right at the top behind Marina & Cli was designated for a 5* hotel on the site plan and had a broad link down to the west course entering around where the green keepers building is. The one up in front of Colinas was H3 and was subsequently designated for an Aparthotel but has never had any interest shown. Presumably was also part of the disposal to Hydrocarburos.

Hi I heard yesterday that Isla Canela Golf have sorted out the issues with Esuri Golf and will soon finalise the deal.However I went to the club last night at 7:00 for a drink with my family to find the doors locked.Back to doom gloom and disillusionment.

Patricia injured herself yesterday and she was on her own. That’s why it was closed
