Re: Restaurants
For the football foodies out there Saturday it is both the European Cup Final and the Portuguese Cup Final. Luis is going to do a SPECIAL FOOTBALL EVENING starting at about 17.00 BST. The Portugues final kicks off at 17.30 BST and the Euro final at 19.45 so you can see both.
For the foodie he is doing two SPECIALS AT ONLY €12.50 each for about four courses. Special one is Luis's BLACK PORK GRILL. Special two is Luis's GRILLED HAKE (which I had yesterday and it was delicious). Chef is on from 18.00 so food should start coming out at about 18.30.
So treat the wife to a Saturday night out for a meal at a reasonable price leaving plenty for the BEER to accompany the football.
OUCH!

And errr who will be drinking the beer during the footy! Someone's gotta drive home
Let me know if you need horns, scarves, hats etc, as you know I have a large stock
Have fun.... see you soon..

PS seriously, the taxi would only be 10 Euros I think as its so close and you can always count on Links to pick you up and not leave you in the lurch. Its happened to us 3 times now, (from Ayamonte, not P'gal thank goodness!) and are so pleased that Links is under new ownership and can be relied on. (No commercial connection)

Hi J&K,
This is the card that you can have filled in on each visit, and then you can be entered into the prize draw. The photo of the poster is not easy to read either, I'm afraid.

Hmmm this is great news, looking fwd to trying this, I reckon we'll be 'marking our card' more than once €1.50 each, great!
When you buy your card, from the tourist office, you get a map.

Re: Restaurants
Hi,
If I recall correctly, you do not have to "buy" the card/leaflet, Jon. It comes free for the asking at the Tourist Info centre, or at any of the participating establishments.
J&K, yes why not ask if CERA could place a poster (or a handful of cards/leaflets) at the club? I'd have thought the management (new) would have received suchlike from the tourism people.

For some reason I thought there was a pack of 'vouchers' to buy and give the resto's.. and you pick up the map at the same time. Dont know where I got that from!!
Sounds like a great way to start the 'Friday Club' I will be trying to sell, after a 'beta test' last year. Have spoke to many about this. Taxi's into town for a night out.. return 20E shared out between the passengers. A great evening in town.... and overall the price of the taxi is easily recovered in the cheaper drink/food prices.... (ex the 'local') and a great night out. We were about 10 last time - great fun.!!
