Well it wasn't open at 1200 today when I went past it playing the 18th hole
(badly) Went to shop this afternoon and said restaurant? and Manolo said a lot of Spanish back and made the rubbing the thumb against two fingers sign for money and looked a bit fed up . So I am confused now.

Re: Restaurants
Just filled up at BP and the overflow car park for La Plaza has a new portacabin office and half container adjacent to the main road. The container door was open to reveal bags of cement and construction stuff. Two technicians were by the central row of trees with a Dumpy Level and a Theodolite. So my reasoned guess would be that MdD's will be here before you.
Why we should need one beats me. We spent last night in Laguna Square and having been to Puerto Ancho to many times in the last 4 weeks and sampled their brilliant take on a burger we decided to go to La Barricata instead and Kelly ordered her usual burger and it was perfect just as described by the pub grub chef. If the meat is good it's all down to the bun and I am afraid McD's are always a soggy mess. He also points out that warm soggy lettuce is not particularly appetising. This one had only the burger a crispy bun and some cheese (which I would replace with caramelised red onion). Brilliant!

Did you know...La Puerta Ancha was wide enough to allow the passing through of the horse & cart in days of yore?

This blog is a very interesting read of local customs, people and places. Google translate may (or may not!) be your friend.
Yet I digress.
Young man, sadly you have made a poor choice in name calling. Who indeed are Dumpy Level and Theodolite? Detention after school for one week!
Regards to family.

Re: Restaurants
El Puerto Ancho translates as The Wide Port. Where as, La Puerta Ancha is The Wide Door. John, you are mixing up your masculine and feminine. Remain after class, please. By the way, also find Shirley and Anthony - most likely on the 18th green - as they have commited the same faux pas!

50 years ago in the first few days of October at the start of my Civil Engineering degree we were split into teams of three, given a chain, dumpy level and theodolite and told to make a survey of the local park. I have not seen them used in UK for years they just look for the nearest satellite nowadays so I was quite thrilled to see my skills could still be useful even if to McD's.
