It appears on your bank statement as Debit servicio de gestion tributaria. Funny thing is the actual cost of the water is a tiny percentage. The bill is mainly standing charges, meter charges, taxes and anything else they can think of !! Also, if you should get cut off because the bank cocked up payment for any reason, the reconnection charge is 102 euros. A relative on ME found this out to his horror recently.

Thank you for the replies, they sure make it difficult to work out what is what ! After some research and help from my oracle :-) ( you know who you are, thank you) I understand better the way they work it.
