Do you represent the town hall? Your name 'LordMayor' and the fact that the last I heard from you was over the whole 'Jag's thing'... makes me wonder.

When the town hall are involved as they were in Jags and now the bus, we hear from you... so just wondering.

Hi Jon
We definitely not agree! I am an expat who has been living here for many years and perfectly integrated in the local life. More: we have known eachother for years. As many expats (they do not all come on this forum) I am very upset with that minority who think they can come into a country and impose they rules. If so many of us have managed to set up our lives here, it is not whithout any reason! I am not in the TownHall but I know most of them, as I know most of the people in all the other local authorities. Do you know why? Because I always had in the mind I am in someone else's country and I had to do with their rules and not them with mines!... You have always been blaming the TownHall and specially the actual mayor.... no business in CE? who did promise you that when you bought? the mayor or the sales office (of course an English company...), you blame the mayor for Jag's case? who was wrong?the mayor or that guy who did not respect any rules (I mean Jag)? you blame now the mayor for Frank's problem. Please answer me honestly, do you think that guy respect the rules? my answer is definitely NO. You have been blaming the Spaniards for years, I do not understand how you can still come back here if it is such a problem for you....are you so daft? One more thing, if you do not like Spain and the Spaniards, just move away. What surprises me the most is that you are someone clever (that is what I have been thinking until now), living in a country which is not yours, which means you should be at least a little bit open minded. By reading all your posts in the "Ayamonte Club" you just show me the opposite. If you do not want to respect the local rules, please go away and respect the locals, either they are native or expats (like me and many others!....). The day I see you again in town I will tell you who I am, and probably have a beer (once more) with you. Regards.

This is the link for Damas: http://www.damas-sa.es/.
If you go on "contactar" and then "sugerencias", you can suggest them to set up a bus line in CE. The more people do it, the more chances you get!....

Note I had a good idea who LordMayor (LM) was already. You may see pointers of that in the text below: By chance he was in the Mercadonna queue in right front of me, this morning!! I told him that I had a right to reply It is a public forum after all and he has flamed me. It was already written but not sent due to my internet being down. So here it is as written this morning - before I bumped into LM .. we still agreed to have a beer

Blimey thats a flamer!! But it's OK - I've been flamed properly before!

First of all let's compare styles. (See highlighted text above) I welcomed you back to the forum and welcomed your input to a discussion. You 'au contraire' fire off a series of insults. Not very grown-up.

This shows you are very emotional and have lost your 'sang-froid'. You also edited your post well over an hour after posting it. So your anger continued for all this time.

You ask me if 'that guy' Frank respects all the rules... how do I know? I am not working with him. YOU certainly don't know anything about his plans as he hasn't shared them with you.... and as you don't work in the town hall, you are just another person with an opinion!

If you have known me for years, why not reveal your name? What's the big secret? You are adult enough (I hope) to make a comment and stand by it, surely? Why do you hide behind a 'nom de plume'? Also, If you actually knew me - you would know that I also am an expat, having left my country a long time ago. And I am in a marriage of differing nationalities and mother tongue's ..... are you? I wonder who has the greater expat-experience.

You are totally wrong, and clearly mis-guided, to imply I am anti-Spanish. Also why do you get angry at ALL the posts I make? Here is a post a couple of weeks ago. Read it, even my staunchest critic would NOT say I was anti-Spanish. http://britishexpats.com/forum/showp...96&postcount=1

I have also started threads on 'green shoots', positive about hoped-for changes on CE, like the bus service and more. I've posted on great places to eat and drink, nightclub opening hours, photo's etc etc. Its very bigoted of you to ignore all my content and only focus on the points that upset your personal sensitivities and your hang-ups.

You don't understand the EUC, it's OK you aren't a CE resident. Many CE-people believe it is not legal; many CE-people don't pay and IMHO the majority are dissatisfied with it. We have a Residents Association as a result of this dissatisfaction. If the Mayor and/or deputy chooses to run the EUC, then they are responsible for any consequences.... its in the 'job description'!! The mayor is a seasoned politician and is used to public criticism - from his professional competitors in politics. I don't think he cares about some foreigner (me), that comments on him (or his deputy) on an expat forum. The EUC takes my money. They need to deliver good (or even half-decent) services for that money. I have the right to ask these questions as I pay for it - and property taxes in Spain. I am also a member of the EU of which Spain has entered and allowed free and unsrestricted access to. I have the right - and 'carte blanche' - to comment on my dissatisfaction here ..... 'c'est la vie'.

It's clear that you are (luckily) much younger than me and, in time, maturity will stop you posting like this - a real 'faux pas'. I surely wont 'go away' simply because I tread on your hang-ups.

However I congratulate you on being (quote) 'perfectly integrated in the local life', you must be someone very important and/or popular. Well done on that, especially being a foreigner .... and all that.

I look forward to our 'tete a tete' over a beer - and the 'big reveal' - friends can disagree too. Blimey, I even have good friends that are socialists!

In order to enjoy that beer, I forgive you for your errors here - and look forward to a lively discussion, first beer on me.

You welcomed me back on that forum...is it yours? If everything is so much better in your country, why did you leave it? You are telling me now that you do not know that "Frank", explain me your support and why he does not publish the results of his meeting with the Mayor? I had a chat with him ( the Mayor) this afternoon, he recognises there is a problem of communication between the expats and the TownHall and WE will try to change that situation soon, TownHall and my modest help. The mayor does not decide ( as you probably know), he has to accept decisions from the different sessions of government, including for any license (transport, restaurants, etc). About CE, you are right he does not care you are foreigner. The whole government is trying to sort out the CE problem, not because it is a foreigners' problem but because it is an Ayamonte problem. I see him and the Deputy Mayor in a few days to try to sort out a better information for the CE residents. I honestly do not know when it will be done because we are all very busy, (me less than them). but, believe me they are really trying to do things well. As soon as I get this done, I will communicate it here. You know I am not a CE resident, I just try to help. If you do not want it, just let me know and it will be more easy for me!....

It is not that CE residents do not want help but you should not medal with things that have already been decided and interference could cause certain people like the real Mayor to get fed up with people bothering him when he has already made his decision as in my case about the bus service. Should the bus service now not go through because of your interference then you will upset a lot of people here. Just concentrate on your own things and let me handle the bus business here on CE.

Oh by the way I have notified the persons that it concerns about the outcome of the meeting. As you are not a CE resident you would not be allowed to use the service anyway so why are you concerned.
Isnt it about time you came out into the open with your real name.

Maybe I sound a bit aggressive on this matter but I have now got so far in this matter and it means so much for a lot of people here and I do not want anything to get in its way at this final stage.
If I have upset any body including the fake Mayor I apologize.
