COSTA ESURI - AYAMONTE

Re: COSTA ESURI - AYAMONTE
Thankfully for us, we had a change of council so we now have the all-loving Socialists. Long gone are the twice a day collections, in fact, gone now are even some pick up points.
No longer do I have to be woken up in the early hours and then again at siesta time.
As the bins overflow and the smell increases, you have to admire these environmentally friendly reds. They've even managed to lay binmen off AND increase our taxes at the same time. In times of financial insecurity, it's reassuring to know that come an election you can rely on the Spanish electorate to really f**k it up when choosing who best to lead you through a crisis

Here in Aljaraque people seem to think that PSOE have done a lot more than PP. I still think that Huelva is one of the most overlooked places. Not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing.

I think most people would like a change in the country but what are the alternatives? PP? If they can't even sort their own party out, htf are they going to sort out Spain? IU would be greener than PSOE and I'm not sure how many followers PA has in Ayamonte.

I was being facetious. The irony of a Socialist party cutting down on waste collection, leaving it to rot in the street, and putting people out of work.
And I'm talking at council level - and as you may have worked out by now around here, the Socialists in town often have very few active policies in common with the national government. If I remember correctly, Aljaraque changed red in 2007 too, no?
There was a very expensive poilcy by the PSOE in Andalucia (and Im sure elsewhere too) to target specific seats and forget other ones. They poured so much money into our area for example, nobody else stood a chance. But hey - that's the way it works, no complaints there. Since then what they have done is continued now for 20 months on a 'honeymoon' policy period - crowd winning schemes that hide the fact that nothing is getting done. A few grumbles about no business stimulus? Throw more money at the Carnaval that'll keep 'em 'appy!
Anyway, WAAAAYYYYY off topic now.
Anyone want to sell their Esuri property for €50,000 before the repo men come in??

You're beginning to sound like a whinging pom there sir.
Now that your team is actually winning have you had to change what you need to grumble about? ;-)

Sometimes he provides useful insight. But he does seem to get pleasure from lighting the touch paper and standing back and watching us all rush to respond.

The good news is that "The Oracle" has been replaced by the "Costa de la Luz Resident", has a new owner, and a great team working hard to get an informative and entertaining paper out. (SNIP)

Hardly replaced, more eaten up.The Resident is a paper that has almost 20 years in the business if I'm not mistaken, and has a bloody good business model.
Jur as you are a (commission-based) employee of said product along with your wife, I'm not sure you come from a position of impartiality.

Was that really worth your 6th post? You should come out of the shadows more, participate.
What about the locals in all this?? Your little gulag put massive pressure on the local market. Young people hoping to get on the ladder were effed. Thankfully that is being redressed as last year's experimental programme of cheap housing has been extended - but this time on a grand scale.
