Hola
It would help to know what system you are using (Windows 10?) and what you are using to receive emails

Hola
Microsoft are stopping Live mail - I have no idea if it is related to your problem but probably time to move on.

Windows Live Mail is a pain. Thunderbird (Google it) is free, and a much better email client.

Yes, WLM is rubbish, but the W10 Mail program is very much better - I don't know why anyone would go to the trouble of installing WLM on W10.

Hi, take it to James in town. He can be found in the Chinese shop near the zebra crossing.
Kind Regards.

Re: computer problem
E-Mails stuck in the outbox are normally a result of incorrect settings for the "SMTP" server (mail sending) or just a bad connection. Depending on the provider you must normally use the SMTP settings from your connection provider. This is an anti-spamming measure. Try comparing the settings on your PC with those on your phone. All Microsoft mail systems are notoriously unreliable.

I had the same problems a few years back, out of the blue wlm gave up the ghost, with the same problems.
I then installed Mailbird, and all works ok. Google it FYI. I was initially sad to lose wlm, but only out of habit. It didn't last long before I was happily using the new client!
Recently however Ive found that its just as easy - better perhaps - to go directly into the Hotmail web based service, for which I have a desktop shortcut 1 click. They have a handy filter for 'focused' mail, i.e where mail is sent directly to you as opposed to 'other' = where you are on a mailing list.
It means that you can't do offline mail, but I switch to mailbird for that.
To be safe remember to use the new client as default for mail, and back up the contacts.
Good luck
Jon
PS haven't gone to win 10 - it seems a mess, & PC working fine without it ... I'm also peeved that Win10 no longer has a guest account = enough for me to 'stick with the old'!

A big thanks to everybody for their helpful suggestions, now decided to update our aging lap top with a new all in one desktop, so will be installing all new software.

I don't need it so didn't do the 'fix', but you can also google that if you want.

PS Enjoy your spanking new PC!
