You would in my opinion be very wrong. Although Ayamonte has changed over the years (what place hasn't?) it is still very attractive.

And I am sure those who have access to more up to date photos (Jur?) will hopefully prove the point.

nb there are plenty of places 'made over' that look the same so it's not just Esuri which seems to have ruined the atmosphere of what was there before....

and please note the use of the word seems. I haven't visited, I don't know. I'm just going from photographs. To use that picture, Jur, is possibly doing the place a disservice?

Here are a few of my own (older) pics of Esuri.
The view beyond the bridge over the marismas still does have building cranes. Esuri is a work in progress, undoubtedly. Yet, there's a lot of open space and big sky.
