Advice for a newbie?
I'm thinking of swapping Florida for winter sun in southern Spain. From Cadiz to Almeria - which is the best location?
When will be the best time? Next year or waiting until Brexit and Covid settle?
An interesting town house or finca. Not a new build or apartment, something with character. Something I can refurbsih to my tastes.
Any problems getting contractors, meeting regulations?
Thanks for your advice

Do you already have the right to live in Spain, such as an EU passort or a path to it, such as having an EU spouse, or are you planning on applying for a visa?

Winter Sun. Late Nov to early Feb only. I have to be in the UK the rest of the year.
Visa should suffice? For an Anglo-Swiss.

On a British passport you'll have 90 days in any 180. Arrive on a Swiss passport and you'll be golden, stay as long as you like.

We have a place in Spain (not in the South) and usually drive down but cancelled all trips this year. Before buying in Spain we did similar and explored all parts by car, as you really get to see more. Budget is probably another factor, so you can already filter by price before you go to an area etc.
