Wanted : Arborist - Sydney
 

Our client is a local family-owned and operated a business which has been established for the past 25 years. They are looking for people to work with a team of well-respected tree care professionals, with a vision to contribute to maintaining and improving the urban treescapes to ensure its existence for generations to come, while providing every client with a professional, efficient service which achieves total satisfaction.

The Candidate

You will need to be trade qualified (Level 3 Certificate or skills assessment recognized in Australia) and to enjoy working at heights and able to operate appropriate hand tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate various machinery and vehicles
Comply with all state vehicle driving rules.
Comply with all state vehicles regulations in relation to size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods etc
Setting up work site exclusion zones as per the direction of Team Leader
Loading and unloading equipment from trucks
Perform Ariel pruning from EWP
Provide support to Ariel Workers
Ability dismantle trees using a crane unsupervised
Felling large trees
Utilising climbing techniques of simple rope rigging
Apply advanced roping and load lowering techniques
Prune trees to maintain tree health, appearance, and address safety concerns
Remove trees when necessary as a result of pests, disease, or other safety issues
Perform emergency tree care after natural disasters, such as when limbs are broken or trees are uprooted as the result of strong storms
Application of Herbicide to tree stumps
Ground handling, stacking branches and general labouring
Rake and blow down all surfaces upon the completion of a job
Keep Vehicles / Plant in a clean and presentable manner
Maintain a clean work area
Ensure trucks are emptied of an afternoon and re-attached to their Trailer / Plant
Complete Documentation SA101 SA201
Comply with all Work Health and Safety aspects of the role.
Comply with all Devivo's Pty Ltd Code of Conduct
Comply with Devivo's Policies and Procedures
Actively participate in company meetings

Skills Required:
Aerial Rescue covering Tree Hazard & Risk Assessment
Standard Climbing Required
Harness Climbing
4 years experience as a Climber
Driver Licence
Utility Experience(Power lines)
Working on Overhead lines
CS41,CS39, CS30 etc
While local candidates will be given priority, outstanding international candidates may also be considered for employment with 457 visa sponsorship.
