Job Title: Clinical Nurse Educator – Peri Operative Department

Job Status: Permanent Part time 30hrs per week

An exciting opportunity exists for a peri operative clinical nurse educator in
our 5 theatre-operating suites to establish a transition to practice program for
newly graduated Registered Nurses who have a strong desire to work in the
surgical fields of scout/scrub and anaesthetics.

The preferred applicant would have extensive education experience and
qualifications in the peri operative setting, are dynamic, highly motivated,
energetic and self-directed. An advanced level of clinical knowledge and
skill in relation to peri operative services will be required to ensure that the
transition to practice nurse receives the best possible theoretical and
practical education in their chosen career path.

This position will be permanent part time with flexible hours.

Essentials:

• Registered Nurse, List A AHPRA

• Tertiary Education Qualifications or working towards.

• Extensive peri operative clinical education experience in the field of scrub/scout and anaesthetics

• Knowledge of and experience in Transition to Practice programs

• Demonstrate commitment to personal professional development

• A commitment to the principles of continuous quality improvement

• Good communication and time management skills

• Act as a role model and resource for other clinicians.
