You certainly are a woman drinking anything which is labeled "Gold" and to be quite honest that gash CastlemaineXXXX needs to be at freezing point so it freezes your taste buds and tastes half decent.
Real beer should be drunk at room temperature to admire the full taste and complexity it offers.
For the record I like to drink JS Amber Ale while feeling a bit cheap and if I am feeling flash I get some Trappist like Chimay or Westvleteren both of which are not readily avilable in This land girth by sea but if you do manage to get some you will not be dissapointed.

for those trappist style ales, try Coopers extra special vintage, or James Squire strong ale, or Grand-ridges, Moonshine and supershine, You'll save about 50 pct of your money. All available at Dan Murphy's

That Coopers extra special vintage, gave me the worst hangover I've had in a bloody long while. I thought Naturally brewed beers were supposed to be kinder to ones body.

I think I'll drop it back a notch tonight and revert back to Coopers Sparkling.

I've got some Single Malts in the cupboard, might give some of that whirl, at bedtime. Helps the blood circulation.

Thanks for the tip mate, I will pick some up when next at the bottleshop.
Don't think it will come anywhere near a true Trappist but worth a go.
