Young cricketer seeks room with family in Perth
Hi
My eighteen year old son is currently in Perth to play cricket for six months.
He is looking for accommodation for this period, family preferred.
By the way he will be playing in the vicinity of Fletcher park playing for
Perth cc.
Regards Steve.

Fletcher Park is in Carlise, just behind a very busy road called Orrong Road, which links Roe Highway (lots of huge trucks) and the Mitchell Freeway (which heads north) via the Polly Farmer Freeway, also known as the Northbridge Tunnel (or the polypipe). To be honest, suburbs around here are not what I would call a good area - Victoria Park, East Victoria Park and Kensington to the west would be better bets. How does he propose to travel around and will he be travelling a lot after dark?

Does the cricket club have any contacts?

Hi Helen
Well it's a bit of a long story but he has been left in the lurch after many promises made. He has been there for ten days and due the kindness of a couple of Australians he has been sleeping on settee's, not ideal long term.
He has also had to find another club, Perth cc who can also get him part time work but Joe is a home bird so if I can sort a room with a family that would be great. He is a great kid, no bother and very easy going.
He is looking for a second hand car to get around in so I suppose he get live anywhere, within reason.
Regards Steve

Here's another website: http://www.studyconnect.com/forums/f...splay.php?f=34 - looks like you can post your request as well as search for house shares.
Carlisle isn't too far away from Curtin and Murdoch Unis, which might be able to help out with contacts, plus uni noticeboards often have notices for houseshares.
Until he gets a car, he'd have to try and get somewhere with good public transport, or else take up cycling.
