I think i did mine in 94(ish) Rick was POM - skinny bloke, always wore 70's style sun glasses, as i recall he did have somesort of medical background. Truth be told i think he was ex Army (paras) or something i think.

Happy days - driving around their big old 4 x 4, picking fellow backpackers up to go diving then getting completly lost on the way back, sitting outside the dive shop eating chips from the next door chippy - fab times. Then cycle back to the YHA - for a Mexican under the Banyan Tree (Coyotes??)

I was there during the stinger season, did you have to wear a full, flowery lycra body suit like I had to (that way people wouldn't steal them!)

I do remember wearing something like that - but definately wasnt flowery !! I was staff at the time - i got to choose!! Did you do any of the wreck dives?

Yeah, I did the USS Meigs. It was great.

Ahh - the bren gun carrier - and all the bullets, cracking !! I was always impressed that they managed to find the wreck, i was working their for about a month diving pretty much every day on that wreck, and Rick would always ask me where i thought it was and never once found it !

I nicked a handfull of bullets, a bit silly as they were still live and unstable but chickened out taking them on the plane back to the UK.
