The river ran for the first time in 4 years while we were in Nullagine.
Seen a few tropical storms, one a cyclone that skimmed Bidyadanga. Trees down, dirt roads were rivers, and our backyard was half a metre full of water.
I have seen pension days in aboriginal communities, the church, the 3rd world circumstances of the communities, the racism, the violence etc etc.
(also had a lot of good times in these locations too though)
Have been on a four month trip around Australia(when I was 5/6), but have not been to Tasmania, have not been to a concert in the Opera House though(have been in, all I remember is: brown!!), and have not been to Ayers Rock or Alice Springs. Have been to many many other places though.
Right... you have not done Australia until.....
Ridden a camel at Sunset in Broome (or at the Camel Farm in Kalgoorlie)
And one that Ozzieeagle just gave me the idea for:
.... had to pull of the (dirt) road to let a Road Train pass.

Some of the things we do on a weekend now seem just everyday mundane things but imagine the conversation "went for a dive last weekend" "Yea see much?" "OH only a couple of turtles and a reef shark, saw a manta ray as well!"
I have to stop myself from grinning like a Cheshire cat whenever a manta ray swims over us while we're diving but turtles & sharks are just the norm now.
