How long did the whole process take from start to finish?
Bit of a swizz i'm afraid, my good lady wife is a nurse at the LGI so we were supposedly fast tracked.
The application was sent 31/07/2003 and we got sent for meds 4/12/2003, bond requested this week 27/01/2004.
Faster than most but slow for 'fast-tracked'.
Not finished yet either, but very very close.
not really sure about the benefits of being sponsored with hindsight.

dazandreb,
Thornton, that's close - will keep watching - seems like a meeting will take place for all from Yorkshire.
We wouldn't be planning on moving till toward end of 2005 - but as you'll have seen husband may have a problem with being diabetic which is why I'm trying to glean any info now so we are well prepared. I am originally from Adelaide, so seems logical we'd try to go there - still have lots of family out there.
TOO MANY of our friends have already left Bradford (not for Aussie, but gone anyway)
I'm sure the place will be buzzing when this meeting happens.
Cheers,
Topsy.

Sorry for the delay in an update for this, I have been extremly busy this weekend catching up on various chores/DIY etc....

Have had replies form both loose and Elaine so far (come on where's the rest of you got to!! ) Thankyou guys/girls will send reply early this week.

I would have thought a weekend is going to be the preferred choice for the meet - we are away in March over the first 3 weekends so the earliest date would be the weekend 27th March.

Not sure what weekend Easter falls upon this year (can someone enlighten me?) so that weekend is probably out.

Anyway the email address exists and is waiting for any replies/ideas.....

Hi Spooky,

Easter weekend is 9th to 12th April I think - I'm going on a short break holiday on Easter Sat and I'm sure it's 10 April.

C'mon guys, lots of folk said they were up for a meet but if you want to influence when/where you need to let Spooky know your preference...

Elaine
