Phone call from George Lombard this morning...we got our visa!!! Just in time as movers coming on 23rd, move out 24th and last day of work 1st Dec (yeah, right!!!!).

What the f*** can I say. Damn pissed I missed that 5am bar (have just read the PM you sent) I still cant believe how quick its all going for you. Anyway congratulations and go and have some more beer. As you have both handed in your notice it sounds like little works will be going on today.

Fancy having a farewell party, selling your house and jacking in your jobs all before you get the visa. I need some of your luck guys, must have something on your shoes. Will pm you about ruby if your gonna have the time now.

We are going to activate visas on new years eve for a couple of weeks hopefully, feel like were in limbo land

Cheers for all the good wishes guys. Seems like forever since we started the process but it was Jan of this year! Not bad huh. Now, if I hadn't put my timeline up here and hadn't kept you all posted as to what was happening, I could say that I'd planned thius with military precision, couldn't I? Sold house in 5 weeks and get the visa 2 weeks before completion date!! Gotta tell you, I was starting to sweat a bit. Got stuff planned for next week. In addition to the movers coming on Thursday and moving out on Friday, I've got tickets to go see Arsenal vs Hamburg at the Emirates on Tuesday. 'Cough', 'cough'. Feel a severe bout of 'flu coming on methinks. Well, I've only had 6 days sick in 6 years. Plus I'm supposed to be on standby. And the following week is my last!

Only slight fly in the ointment...Mrs Cee's sister is very ill and is in hospital. It don't look good. Took the shine off it all a bit, and I've suggetsed we wait til after xmas to book our flights so she can be with sis. Gutted but there you go. Will keep y'all posted.

On another note, George Lombard; what a bar steward. I've been hassling him via email and he suggested that HE provide ME with a daily report on progress or lack of it. 7 am this morning the phone rings and it's George. After exchanging pleasantries he informs me that this is my daily report to let me know that I HAVEN'T got it yet!! "What?" says I, "you're ringing me to tell me that I haven't got it?!" "Nah", he says, " just pulling your leg, it was granted this morning"

Oz humour huh?

BTW. Anyone watching Celebrity? Who is that Aussie tw*t that is presenting the ITV2 show. Is he supposed to be funny? Ain't doing much for me I can tell you!!
