Yeeee haaa, I got...
..the job. It's been 2 months since I arrived here finally to settle and am glad to get into an employment fairly quickly than I originally thought.
I'd done a degree in Electronic Engineering and had been working in the UK for 4 years. Some of the people around me were sceptical, commenting that I would struggle to find suitable job as electronic engineer.
But found a job ad on the seek.com.au and applied for it 6 weeks ago. After 3 round of interviews, a written technical test, medical test & police check (blimy), I've got the offer letter today from that company in Clayton (and it's just 6 kms from where I live). Using the cost of living calculator on Gomatilda's website http://www.gomatilda.com/calculator , I found that I will start with a higher salary than the salary I was getting when I left UK.
Who said it's difficult to find engineering job here? Good luck to all those job hunting.
