if you have a wii i recommend having a look at this. i managed it in about 5 mins - you're not modding the console so it doesnt invalidate your warranty. you can play 'back ups' of all the games you 'have' |

You're wrong about the Wii. The UK Wii and Oz Wii are both PAL machines and the Oz games work fine on the UK Wii. I brought a UK Wii over with me and all the games I bought here work perfectly.

Oz games will not work on a UK Wii No, I disagree here, mate. I have my wii brought over from UK and I have used it to play Oz games many times... Shipping over the wii has been the best decision ever as far as I am concerned as it give me hours of fun  Honestly, I don't know why ppl think otherwise.. |

DVD's and Blu Ray are both well on their way to becoming Obsolete... Blu Ray the Fastest technology ever to become Obsolete. |
Re: Xbox360/PS3/Wii....
that is correct. however if you have discs that you want to play that are from a different region, you can do it this way - slightly long winded but saves having to buy the disc from the correct region:-
1)Take the DVD from another region that you want to play on your PS3 and put it in your computer's DVD-RW drive. 2)Open DVD-copying software you have on your computer. Examples would include DVDXCopy Platinum and Nero Burning Rom. Anything that can make a straight copy of a DVD will do. 3)Use the DVD-copier software to make a copy of your DVD. Both Nero and DVDXCopy Platinum will make direct copies of commercial DVDs, so they'll both work well for these purposes. Making a copy will remove any region coding the disc has and effectively make it "Region 0," or "all-region." As long as you own the DVD you are copying, you are doing nothing illegal. 4)Put the copied DVD in the PlayStation 3's disc tray. Despite originally being from another region of the world, it will now play perfectly in your PlayStation 3. |
