Wow - how time flies!!!
hi everyone, Dove family here - just letting you how we are geting on!!! Well, it's been 5 months and it's just flown by. We are renting at the moment but have purchased a house and move in next week, can't wait. So glad we moved to Mackay, it very laid back, slow paced and beautiful. Still can't believe we live by the Whitsunday Islands, it's all still so surreal. Everyday I take the girls to the many beaches we have, all with family parks and bbq areas. Nothing is spoilt with graffitti and there's no litter either. Everyone is soooooooooooooooo friendly it's unreal!! Keep thinking I'll wake up and it's all been dream!!!
How's everyone else? Must catch up reading threads!!! Is anyone else coming out to Mackay? Look forward to hearing from everyone Lisa xxx :) |

Sounds wonderful. I know what you mean about the surreal thing. Weve been here only 8 weeks but you dont actually feel HERE. Mackay sounds amazing. I'll have to check out house prices on net. So glad you're so happy.nice post L-J xx :) |

Where in mackay are you Lisa? What suburb is your new house in? We are in Beaconsfield - you must have moved about the same time as us (we arrived 5 December). How are you guys doing jobs wise? I am still struggling to get a job....

We came out on Novemer 1st and arrived in Mackay on the 5th. Hubby has a job out in the mines so that's good but I'm not looking yet - want to get settled first. What line of work are you in?
Look forward to hearing from you, Lisa Sean from Landrover here. How is Richard getting on in his new job? Did he have much choice in what to do? We are waiting for VR from work, we should have flown out last Tuesday but put it off until I find out about VR, should be in next few weeks. Is Richard on FIFO? Is there much work in Mackay? Sorry about all the questions but I'm sure you can understand my worries :scared: Anyway glad to hear you are loving it and we will hopefully be in the same boat very soon :) Cheers Sean |
