Default Worth bringing high end push bikes ?

Hi all. Does anyone who is in to the sport know if prices for the high end bikes ie carbon framed, work out cheaper or dearer in Oz for the same specification ?

If dearer then by what approximate percentage.

Thanks,

Thanks,
My husband reckons cycles and cycle parts and accessories are way cheaper in the UK. He buys anything he can from Chain Reaction or Wiggle rather than buy it here. Check out http://www.bikeforce.com.au/ for prices.

Compare chainreactioncycles to torpedo.com.au

If you own them already, bring them.

Thanks,
'High end' is a subjective term. I'd consider my road and TT bikes fairly high end at about $8k ea, plus wheels, but others would consider that mid range.

If you are talking mid range ~$5k and below then yes, more expensive in Oz, and components as well. Some complete bikes can be comparable, but you are limited on things like sizes and some models, depending on brand.

If the need for high end stuff arises when you are in Oz, the due to the AUD/USD I'd also make regular checks of Competitive Cyclist (mid to low range) and RA Cycles (mid to high end).

What city are you headed, I can help you with specific shops, depending which market you are in.
