I always wondered what would happen if you tried the emergency exit procedure at 30,000 feet. Just like on Fight Club.... ;-)

Glad to know it doesnt work.

There's no way anyone would be able to open a door on a plane at altitude as the pressure in the aircraft's cabin holding it shut would be too great.

Even at low altitude I reckon the cabin pressure would be too high to enable the door to be opened.

Yeah loads. Might scare you though :scared:

BTW passengers trying to open a door midflight happens more than you might think. My best friend was in charge on a flight when a rather large bloke tried to do this. Everyone just sat there watching and the only person who tried to stoop him was a female passenger who despite screaming for help was ignored until the cabin crew got to him.

The worst was 3 weeks ago on a flight when someone poohed in the sink instead of the toilet. The next person who went in came out screaming and had to be put on oxygen 'cos of the shock. Sad but true.

Also had a woman who changed her kid's nappy on the seat and then left it there for the flight. She refused to put it in the toilet bin. The contents leaked out and the seat cover had to be changed before the next flight.

People are just disgusting these days.
