Worried !!

Hello everyone, We are hoping to emigrate to Perth in 2005 and have just this week sent our skills assessment off . Im just starting to worry in case it is turned down !! Everyone on here seems to be so ahead with there applications and just wondered have they come across anybody who job was on the skills wanted list who have been turned down at this stage.
Hubbys is going as an electrical meachanic, but is in the Royal Navy which apparently makes it a bit more tricky.

Worried from Poole :(

Believe me, we're ALL nervous. My skills assessment should be posted next week. I'm sure I've given them everything they've asked for. I'm 'in demand' in Victoria (not nationally unfortunately) but I'm still nervous. I will be until my passport gets that stamp in it

Thought about a transferring to the Royal Australian Navy?? It may help you if he could transfer to Oz Navy.

Best of luck!!

If it makes you feel any better I think being in our Navy is a plus point for you...My brother was in the Navy, hes went to live over there 10 years ago..they practically riped his arm off to give him a visa...Being Navy trained gives them some sort of high grade of training...so I wouldnt worry at all:)

We've just had a case officer assigned and I'm now more nervous than ever.

We are all in the same boat so don't worry:D

Must admitt It is hard having to wait for the TRA (.Husbands skills as a butcher.)
We have just been told that fast tracking is now taking between 8-10 weeks and the normal route could take up to 6 months. We are hoping to hear end of April mid May won't rest until then .
We are are all in the same boat at the end of the day all we can do is waitand wait and wait !!!!!!!!!:)

here we go again!

our agent has just sent our skills assessment back to us again ! its not detailed enough ! This is the third time now, but i suppose he is just doing his job. Problem is husband is posted in Gibralta so everything takes twice as long for him to amend them and send them off again ! Have to be really fussy as hubby doesent want to join the Oz navy as he has done over 20 years and had enough now! Got to try and convince the board that his skills as an operator mantainer on submarines can be used in Perth !! Oh well back to the drawing board again !!!!!

Sorry but I have to say it but BLOODY AGENTS...! I'm so glad I didnt bother with wasting my dosh...

No joke...Ive my skills assessed and passed...I submitted a one page description of my job....!!!I had no exams or anything on paper...I think you can prehaps go into to much detail and send them to sleep...the core issues are the important ones...hes trained by the navy for F***s sake hes going to be of a certain standard...!
This agent is perhaps going a bit over the top........
Do you have to use them...
