WORKING HOURS
WHAT IS THE AVERAGE WORKING HOURS FOR OUTDOOR WORKERS IN OZ? GAS PIPE MAINS LAYER HERE IN UK, BUT THE THOUGHT OF SAME LONG DAYS OUT IN OZZY SUN SEEMS A BIT OFF PUTTING.

Sorry can't really answer your question but outside workers here in sydney seem to start earlier than the UK (7am if not earlier with builders at least) and also finish earlier.
Can you turn your caps lock off too as typing in CAPITALS is interpreted as SHOUTING in the internet world

I'm working with a very large construction company just now and they all start at 7am, then finish at 4pm (but thay have a meeting at 3:30 for the last half hour )

most work sites are 7 - 3, my husband works more, Friday site is dead by 1 or there is an onsite bbq with beers

Partners been working 6.30 to 5pm sometimes 5.30, Fridays is meeting day, so often later, and most Saturday mornings. Easily 60 a week. Previous job in brisbane was similar but Saturdays were more like one a month, unless it was a busy spell.
