Working from home
Anyone know of any good work from home companies or a good way of seeking out work from home opportunities?

Any type of work in particular? Do you mean the catalogue type companies or pyramid selling ones?
I work from home 80% of my time but that's on a flexible working arrangement with my company as a Training Specialist.

Well I have experience in a few different areas, mainly administration, do you know of any of this kind of work?

Well its not common to do admin work from Home unless you have already been in employment with the company. It is a matter of trust and unless they know you then they can not gauge that trust. By all means look (try Seek.com) but I suspect your opportunities would be limited.

I do some specialist medico-legal typing at home as well as type for 2 private consultants. I got into the medico-legal stuff by being asked by one of the consultants to do a legal opinion for him (he was called as an expert witness so I typed his statement) and he was pleased with my work, so recommended me to some of the other witnesses in the cases he's been called to testify in. Since September last year I've done witness statements for 4 cases. Interesting stuff!
The private work is for the same doctor as well as one of the consultants I work for in my real job. He does a private clinic once a month at an Aboriginal health service here in WA so I type the notes from that.
If you have specialist typing ability (medical terminology or legal or experience with billing) and can type 70+ wpm you can try passing your CV around private consulting rooms and see what comes your way. Usually private hospitals have consulting rooms next door or at least close by.
here's a google search for transcription services. Try applying to a few of them. http://www.bing.com/search?q=home+tr...ices&FORM=AWRE
