working holiday visa
 
Hi

How long does it take to get a working holiday visa, and once issued how long before you have to use it

It takes about 48 hours.. all can be done on line, nice and easy...

You then have 1 year before you have to use it..

mine expires in 18 days and I am flying out in 14 :D

You can't get an Australian working holiday visa if aged 31 or over.

I suppose thats assuming theres no convictions that might make it take a little longer. I made an enquirey to the DIMIA on behalf of someone regarding this and got told this :

Working holiday visa applications lodged electronically may be finalised
within two working days of lodgement. In some instances, applications may
need to be referred to an Australian Immigration Office in Australia for
further processing. Referred applicaitons may take up to 4 weeks to
finalise once all outstanding information is received.
