would like to know if there is a lot of work for pipe fitters in australia

my first choice would be near melbourne but anywhere would do

is there anyone who is a pipe fitter thats moved from the uk over there if so would like to know more about it

is there plenty work?
whats the rate of pay?
hours worked a week?
is there a demand for them?

i work on the oil rigs here in the uk with big international construction oil and gas companys with jobs on shell,total,mobil rigs etc also work onshore as well

does australia have rigs like here in uk is there many work available on them or onshore

i do alright here in the uk but was thinking of moving to australia but only if there is plenty work and pays well i have just received a working visa which i plan to go over there for a year if i like it i may plan to move there

would like to here from other pipefitters out there is any on these forums
