work for joiners
hiya all
Just now I'am at the early stages of applying to move to australia with my wife and two boys and have found this website very helpfull.We have no family and no friends in australia,but we still fancy giving it a go.
Could any of you guys give me any info on work for joiners (carpenters)will i find it difficult to find work,where is the best area to find work,what kind of earnings,any kind of info would be great cheers Davie

Welcome to the forum......where I am in Central Queensland they are crying out for joiners....in fact all trades, peoples houses lie for weeks uncomplete, just waiting on the trades to become available

Try having a look on the aussie job websites and changing the states to see where there are the most jobs

I am almost at the end of my application and I am also a Joiner. We are hoping to move to Perth WA. My brother who has lived there for 14 yrs informed me only today that they are screaming out for Joiners so finding work should be ok. I'm not sure about wages but I have heard $25 per hour being mentioned.
Good luck with the TRA as this will be your biggest hurdle
