Work cover

Hi guys,

This is my first post so please be gentle.

I'm currently off work after an injury & I'm on work cover. I was just wondering how I go about getting some compensation for my injury. Do I go through work cover or through my employer.

Any advice is much appreciated, thanks
.

Hi there. Was your injury as a result of your employer's negligence, i.e. was your employer at fault?

If so, you need to lodge a Notice of Claim of Damages with Workcover, which you also need to provide a copy to your employer.

ps. this applies to WorkCover Queensland, different states may have different rules.
