Word Game!
This is an idea pinched from Countdown (yep, watch it, good mental exercise). For those that don't know it the idea in Countdown is to make up words from 9 letters randomly chosen from a group of vowels and consonants - you try to make as big a word as possible from the selection (there's also a mental arithmetic game and a conundrum but not relevant).
Well, here's a variant they had a few weeks ago. You have to make up a sentence of 9 words but the first word must have 1 letter, the second word must have 2 letters ...... the 9th word must have 9 letters eg I am not here .... countdown. The prize on offer is a 'virtual coconut' for the best contribution which must be to do with UK, Australia or NZ. This is only for those who are interested so no slagging it off or objectionable contributions please. ;) OzTennis:) Oh, and here's a Countdown joke. You know you are getting old when the wife says fancy going upstairs for a cuddle and you reply I can only do one of those.:D |
