Can anyone tell me if there are any restrictions on shipping out wooden garden furniture or is it best left behind?

Many thanks,

There are no restrictions other than that it has to be clean. (We're talking modern shop-bought wooden furniture, right?)

It also has to be clear of signs of borer/woodworm infestation.

If it has signs of this, you will need a certificate showing it has been treated and no longer has the "infestation".

sorry to be thick but what are the signs it might have this? the furniture is about 2 years old and hubby puts some kind of wood preserver thing on it each year?

To my eye, it looks ok, but I'm no expert!

thanks,

We sanded all our wooden garden furniture down and re-varnished them. looked like brand new. Had no problems with them. Looks great in my new Ozzy garden.

Little holes about 1 - 2mm diam.

If your furniture is only 2 years old its highly unlikely you would have this problem.

it's older furniture that tends to be affected.
