Won't be long now
Off to the goldcoast on monday, and as u can imagine we are
very excited.
We are there for a month, any tips on places to visit , anything
of interest would be much appreciated ,
We are actually going fact finding, jobs situation, areas to live, schools, etc,etc, .
Will try and take lots of pictures, and then will post on the forum.
Staying at turtle beach resort,( as anyone ever stayed there)
just wondering if was okay.
Going to hire a car, and then will start to check out areas in the
goldcoast first, then going to do the same in brisbane , hopefully
will try to look at sunshine coast aswell, and if we can fit it in will
go to cairns.
Anyway must go and do some packing .

Have a great time. We are moving to the Gold Coast in October. We are hoping to live in the Broadbeach/burleigh heads area.

It is a very long way from Brisbane to Cairns. If you really want to go then fly with Virgin Blue or similar.
I drove it once but the road is mostly single carriageway and it can take a few days (unless you want to drive all day and night).It is also a long way back.
