Won a Silver medal in the Olympics...
At work every year we participate in sports and get medals et cetera.
People often comment on how unfit 'real' Aussies are, well in my company it seems that you need a one-time sporting credential to get in. The whole bloody office is late in, wet from the shower either at 9am or 2pm.
Well I was the fav this year for a 'record-breaking' final-day run, (they'd seen me run the lake a couple of times with my rucksack) and yes, I did break the record (without the rucksack, and the barrier was quite low ), but so did another bloke so I only got silver. However he trains specifically for this event every day, and he's a specialist.
We had a great time. Great idea.
And I got a tad sun-burnt too- first time ever. We had to walk from one event to another at an unknown destination and I hadn't realised how far it was..
