Default Womens Suits in Sydney

Argh! I applied for a couple of jobs yesterday, not expecting anything to happen before our shipping arrived with my interview suits in. Now I've got an interview on Friday, and have spent the best part of the afternoon trapsing around Sydney trying to find a decent suit. I finally managed to find a nice one in a place called La Voca, but this was after 3 hours of looking and only finding about 4 other suits not made of nylon and under $500 in the whole city centre.

So now I'm curious, where do you go to buy decent (i.e. not nylon and in a colour which is acceptable to attend an interview in) ladies suits in Sydney?

Hi, we where there at xmas and stayed near the Olympic Park and there is a big discount shopping centre there just off Parramatta Road with loads of discount stores and as I always wear a suit to work I remember there was a few shops selling them. Think Mexx, French connection etc are there so may be worthwhile taking a trip. However I cant remember the name of it! Maybe a Sydneysider could fill in the blanks!

If I was looking for a suit for work I would give Country Road a try.

That would be DFO at Homebush. Can't remember the web address but if you Google it you will find it and a map which shows exactly where it is. Good luck!

You could try Birkenhead Point, which is very close to you, but don't think it is as good as DFO. Table Eight is there.

Also for a cheapish one, try Jacqui E at most malls/shopping centres. They have nice suits for about $2-300. Most of my work suits are from there, sizes from 8-18.

I went to Birkenhead Point and DFO last weekend - both were very good and I think I'll be frequenting them quite regularly, so thanks guys!
