Default Wol's house build

Scaffolding now down, the gyprockers are in and have almost finished the ceiling rough-in. Water is on - at last - so we can water the newly planted natives without running several hoses from the front boundary: I am sick to death of mending half a dozen hose/join blowouts a day! (Our water pressure is extremely high - so high I specified a pressure reducer in my Scope of Works. A good investment - the pressure is much higher than most washing machines, dishwashers etc can cope with.)

If only the rain would lay off for a while.......

That's because it's had to be built "up in the air" on account of the slope! It's something around the 380 sq m size IIRC, plus a courtyard.

We're presently sourcing (don't you just*love* the phrase...) fluorescent GU10 replacement bulbs, which are unknown to half the electrical wholesalers and in stock with others of the same company! I have never done so much travelling, just trying to get stuff, in my life. But we're getting there, slowly! Still on course for a June 1st completion.

Thanks. It's been really satisfying seeing our own design, warts and all, progress from sketches, polystyrene models, many draftsman's plans to actual bricks and mortar. We can blame no-one but ourselves!

How is you own new purchase going? Looking forward to the latest pictures!

Looks great, but why did you build in such a crime ridden area...? The local boys have already had your garage doors off...

380 sq m is huge! Ours (we built too) is just under 300 and pretty roomy...

Whats IIRC?

How does it work with the new bulbs - are they still flush to the ceiling, like the regular insets?

IIRC = If I remember correctly (IIRC <g>)

Yes, they replace the GU10 240v bulbs and connectors so will fit any fitting that takes them.
