Re: Winter in Sydney
I am loving it at the moment as I spent 10 years in Dubai where it rains 1 or 2 a year. But I am feeling the cold. Went to Aldi's and joined in the scrum for some Ugg slippers which I am never taking off. It is true what they say, if your feet are warm you are warm.

Re: Winter in Sydney
An Australian work colleague today was talking about having put flannellette sheets on her kids beds. She has an electric blanket and thinks the kids are probably old enough to be trusted with one of those as well now!
We brought the heater in from the garage yesterday and the chimney sweep is coming on Monday! Not buying sheets or electric blankets but might get hot water bottles for my girls. The worst thing about the cooler seasons is getting the clothes to dry. Too much rain lately to risk putting anything on the line and the clothes that can't go in the tumble dryer take an age to dry over the clothes horse. That's my whinge out of the way! |
Re: Winter in Sydney
I am curious, as we are moving to Sydney in 3 weeks. What is the temperature and weather like at the moment.
Surely it is better than the UK - The A1M was bloked by snow yesterday in Yorkshire, and today the forecast here in Leicester is heavy rain all day and 9 degrees |

Apart from me now being cold, I think I might just go down the cafe for a nice big breakfast of sausage, bacon, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, fried slice and black pudding, there nothing like a nice big fat fry up to start the day off, before I have to go and work out in the cold myself :)

Don't forget to bring your woolies! |
