I am updating my will using an Australian format from the post office. As my assets are on both sides of the world I'm wondering if the executors, who are family members and UK side, can deal with all my assets? Should I also appoint someone in Australia? I'm reluctant to use a professional for various reasons.

How are others dealing with this issue? I know lots of us are in the same boat.

What you propose may be possible.

However, if you have assets in multiple countries, (especially if these aren't small amounts), the DIY post office format probably isn't for you.
